   Section Description:

This section deals with land use type of building/activity ion any given lot in the study area).

The section introduces the Existing Land Use Survey, which cataloged the land use conditions for the entire study area, city limits and beyond. That survey is briefly discussed in a city-wide context, including an analysis of land development change over the last 20 years.

It then addresses the type, location, form, and character of future land development. It explains how a tool called the suitability analysis was created, and what that imperial instrument identified for maximum economic and community growth. Typical implementation strategies are also presented. A few potential pitfalls are identified as well, including the damage runaway commercial/residential migration can do to an otherwise vibrant community.

Lastly, section identifies and describes the broad categories that will be used on this Plan's Future Land Use (FLU) Map. The section breaks the City down into "planning areas" to take an in depth look at how future growth might improve present conditions. The FLU Map is included.
