This section is the first of several "recommendations" chapters. Titled "future," these portions of the document lay out a vision for Graham's growth moving forward.
The Future Land Use section addresses the type, location, form, and character of future land development. It explains how a tool called the suitability analysis was created, and what that imperial instrument identified for maximum economic and community growth. Typical implementation strategies are also presented. A few potential pitfalls are identified as well, including the damage runaway commercial/residential migration can do to an otherwise vibrant community.
The section also identifies and describes the broad categories that will be used on this Plan's Future Land Use (FLU) Map. Just as in the "existing" portion, this section breaks the City down into "planning areas" to take an in depth look at how future growth might improve present conditions. Lastly, the FLU Map itself is included.
